Brookside infant 9

General Information

School Office

The School Office is open from 8 am until 4 pm.

Breakfast Club

All children are welcome to attend our Breakfast Club, which is in the Infant School Hall for children in Years Nursery - Year 2. Breakfast is served from 7.30 am to 8.15 am from Monday to Friday. The school charges £2 per child, per day, which includes breakfast (selection of cereals, toast, fruit, spreads and various drinks).

From 8.15 am to 8.45 am, pupils can attend Breakfast Club free of charge for 30 minutes each day as part of the DFE Free Breakfast Club Scheme to ensure no child starts the school day hungry, improve behaviour, attendance, and academic attainment, and save families time and money.

During this time, children will be offered a slice of bagel for breakfast and have the opportunity to settle into school in a calm and welcoming environment. As part of Breakfast Club, pupils have the opportunity to complete their homework, read, do arts and crafts and play tabletop games.

Health and Safety

For the health and safety of all, we ask:

  • No scooters, tricycles or bicycles should be ridden in the playground. Racks are provided for the storage of these (chained, please) during the school day.
  • Dogs must not be brought into the school grounds.
  • The school sites and buildings are no smoking areas.
  • Please park away from the school gates and do not park on the zigzag lines outside the school.
  • The car park is for staff parking only and is closed at certain intervals for safety.

Medicine

We are able to give medicine to children in school once the relevant paperwork has been completed. Please contact a member of office staff for more information regarding medication during school hours.

Please do come and speak to us if you are worried about anything concerning your child or any circumstances past or present that may help us care for them.
